  LOVE is the sign

  in my jc meeting i kept on at the elders about love.

  that there was no love being shown in the congregations & even toward me on how they were dealing with the whole situation & towards my mother.

  i mentioned that there were only 2 commandments given to us - 1. to love god & 2. to love our neighbour.

  Just fascinating. I've sat on commitees before and none were for apostasy so to speak. There were two DA's I sat in on. Both of which we refused to accept the letters as valid until we met with and spoke to the individuals. The one said, Now I can do all the stuff I've been denying myself, movies and stuff." Very young but very observant. The other faded and we had to read the letter without meeting with them.

  Whenever I would stress the undeserved Kindness through Christ and not the "SERVICE" I was nearly censured by the body. I would make statements like, "If you put in 150 hours a month but dont approach the elderly in the congregation to mow thier lawn you are wasting your time." Wow, the older ones loved me but the younger "Company" men thought I was a malcontent. Now I don't care if they fall into a hole. (the company men I mean.)

  clubbing

  Are You Too Tough on Yourself?

  now that you have made that exit from the cult, wtbts., or are fading, are you too tough on yourself?

  do you have a little voice inside your head that's constantly telling you that you don't measure up?

  nearly all of us carry these voices around, some are louder than others, some are quieter.

  I guess the tougher you were on yourself, the tougher you allowed the Society to be on you. It was a lack of self esteem that brought many of us into the Collective. Now, no. No self berating. No self denegration. Nope. I don't think I ever did. Honestly, I knew I was doing all I could to meet Jehovah's requirements, I loved Jehovah with my whole heart, mind and soul and my neighbor as myself. Still do care about people and what Jehovah thinks just not what the the Board of Directors thinks. Dont be so hard on yourself. Just take care of yourself and dont be so analytical. You're fine.

  Air baths are good for preventing colds... What you do is strip naked mornings and evenings and then bob up and down for a while.

  All these years I've been stripping naked in the afternoon and bobbing down and then up, no wonder I can't shake a cold.

  Apportioning blame in the WTS organisation

  the wts is guilty of causing a great deal of suffering to millions of r & f dubs over a period of time at least from rutherford's days.

  if you had to apportion liabilities and punishment for this tremendous amount of evil how would you do it among their hierarchy ranks from gb to cos to elders?

  by what you said in both posts you seem to contradict yourself. The witnesses "Just enjoy being mean" is a very narrow statement. I do not defend the self righteous but I'll tell you that it exists in most forms of religious groups and not JW's only. (Trust me, some Mormons are not waiting till they die to become Gods!)

  Yeah, I know, end of the world, everyones bad etc. but in my experience it is not the desire of the majority to be mean. Thoughtless? Yes, a bit. I wasn't there where you were but in 38 years I didn't see the meaness you speak of. Sorry you went through that. Most of the loving people are duped into following the Society closely. Maybe you spent too much time with the slackers? LOL

  If the witnesses dont really follow the Watch Tower Society's instruction perhaps thats why you encountered so many meanies? Were you baptized?

  Are young JWs staying in or moving out of the borg?

  really, just wondering if new generation of dubs is mostly faithful or tempted to try it all out.

  are they faithful to the mother borg or are they starting to question it all.

  i mean 10 to 20 years ago it took ages to come across some undesirable info about the borg, but now it is everywhere.

  In this here lil Congregation I have seen at least 15 young persons DA and DF in the last ten years. They get to an age where they ask questions or just act like normal teenagers, young adults. Its the old "Bloom of Youth" thing. They were blooming and off they went. None that I know have come back to the New World Club.

  Kindom Hall bookstudy’s turn to clean, meaning (Granny and Elder Bob will be doing all the work along with sister Getserbuttkicked while her U/M waits at home. Also, please don’t forget to order your calendars and Daily Text because the will be on back order for 9 months.

  15 min: Are You Benefitting From a Family Schedule? Review the suggestions in the May 2005 Our KIngdom Ministry insert, and invite the audience to comment on the efforts they have made to apply the suggestions and on the benefits they have received from doing so.

  See if you can find a young person who has had success keeping his pants on for a week while worldly girls are throwing themselves at him and the Basketball coach is pressuring him to join the team because he’s 6ft. 8in tall. Oh yes, have hims relate how he reads the text even when unconscious.

  Remember to pay special attention to the drama, I hear its just for you. Maybe you could take the time to talk about the university you will be attending in the fall with your neighbors in the seats next to you! Tell them you're going to study how to type blood products.

  War of The Worlds? Hmmm. How about "Run Tom Run?" instead. I love apocalyptic movies, sorry its in my blood. I enjoyed the movie because it was just that. Ever seen the illustration armageddon in the old Paradise book? The one with the earth opening and the people flalling in, complete with little girl, bike and doll? Here it is live almost.

  Drags in the middle and peters out at the end but still visually fun.

  Cinderella Man. Terrific movie. Full of heart and lots of punches.

  Batman Begins? zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  Ebert only likes movies where people get laid.

  Like many Halls we had our dynasty to reckon with. Daddy and two sons. Big daddy controlled everything and everyone. Number 1 son was an irresponsible insensible jerk. Son two was screwing around secretly and was sent to Bethel where he was made a ministerial servant only to be exposed by the girl who got conscience back home and came forward. He's faded. Actually in the long run he was forced to be honest.

  Elders in the cong?

  2. I studied with this one, now a zealot, (Did my job too well. No compassion for anyone. didn't learn that from me, got it from No. 1 son of Elder Hitler.

  3. Does what he's told and it eats away at his insides.
